7. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to the categories of recipients listed below.

7.1 Service Providers and Processors

We may disclose personal information to vendors and service providers that help us operate our website and provide our services. These may include:

  • website hosting and website platform providers;
  • form and database providers;
  • members area and account management providers;
  • online testing providers;
  • payment processors;
  • email, messaging, CRM, and customer support providers;
  • analytics providers;
  • security and fraud prevention providers;
  • cloud storage and IT providers;
  • accounting, legal, and professional advisors.

These providers may process personal information on our behalf and for business purposes related to the services they provide to us.

7.2 Tilda

Our website is built on Tilda and may use Tilda functionality for website pages, forms, data submission, account access, and the members area.

Tilda may process personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, form submissions, account-related information, website usage information, cookies, IP addresses, and technical logs as needed to operate the website and related features.

When Tilda processes personal information for our website functionality, it acts as a service provider, processor, or vendor to us, depending on the context and applicable law.

7.3 ClassMarker

We use ClassMarker to deliver online tests, quizzes, exams, or assessments within or related to our courses.

ClassMarker may process personal information such as your name, email address, test registration details, test or exam identifiers, answers, scores, results, completion time, number of attempts, IP address, and other technical data needed to administer the test, record results, support test integrity, or troubleshoot issues.

When ClassMarker processes testing data for our courses or assessments, it acts as a service provider, processor, or vendor to us, depending on the context and applicable law.

7.4 Course Providers, Instructors, or Educational Partners

If a course or educational material is delivered, supported, or administered with the help of a course provider, instructor, or educational partner, we may share information needed to provide access, support, completion records, or related services.

We do not submit information to licensing boards or licensing authorities unless this is expressly disclosed for a specific course, required by law, or authorized by you.

7.5 Payment Processors

If you purchase a course or product, payment information may be processed by third-party payment processors. We generally do not receive or store full payment card numbers. We may receive transaction information such as payment status, order ID, purchase amount, billing contact details, and confirmation records.

We may disclose personal information if we believe it is necessary to:

  • comply with law, legal process, or government requests;
  • protect the rights, property, or safety of License.US.Course, our users, or others;
  • investigate fraud, security issues, or misuse;
  • enforce our terms, policies, or agreements;
  • respond to disputes or legal claims.

7.7 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction, personal information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

We may disclose personal information when you direct us to do so or when you give us consent.

7.9 Common-Control Businesses

We may disclose personal information, without monetary payment, to other legal entities under common ownership or common control with AMV Port LLC for internal administration, customer support, course coordination, educational service delivery, account management, fraud/security, legal/accounting, and to respond to user requests or connect users with related education, school, or consulting services. These recipients may use the information only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, as disclosed at the time of collection, or as otherwise permitted by law. Sharing personal information with a common-control business does not transfer SMS marketing consent, does not override email opt-out choices, and does not make that separate entity responsible for License.US.Course courses unless expressly stated.

SMS/MMS opt-in data, SMS consent records, SMS opt-out records, and SMS suppression records will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or common-control businesses for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Where an SMS opt-in disclosure expressly names multiple participating brands or legal entities, including License.US — AB License LLC; License.US.School — AB License LLC; and License.US.Course — AMV Port LLC, we may share SMS opt-in data, opt-out data, suppression records, and related SMS compliance records among those expressly named participating senders solely to administer the SMS program, send messages authorized by the user, document consent, and honor opt-out requests.

A separate legal entity may not rely on SMS consent collected through License.US.Course unless that legal entity was expressly named in the applicable SMS opt-in disclosure or the user separately provides legally valid consent to that entity.

8. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies

8.1 At this time, we do not use advertising pixels, behavioral advertising cookies, cross-site tracking technologies, or third-party analytics systems. We may use essential cookies and similar technologies needed to operate the website, forms, checkout, account login, members area, course access, testing, security, fraud prevention, and technical troubleshooting.

8.2 Our website platform, hosting providers, payment processors, testing providers, and security providers may process technical logs such as IP address, browser type, device type, timestamps, error logs, and security logs. We will not enable analytics, advertising pixels, cross-context behavioral advertising, or third-party tracking technologies unless we update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required notices or choices before using those technologies.

9. Marketing Communications and Contact Preferences

Some forms on the Site may ask for optional consent to receive email, SMS/MMS, or other communications from multiple named brands and legal entities. When a form expressly names participating senders, including License.US — AB License LLC; License.US.School — AB License LLC; and License.US.Course — AMV Port LLC, your consent applies only to the communication category selected, the contact channel selected, and the participating brands/legal entities expressly named in that form.

The participating brands/legal entities named in the form may process the contact information, consent records, opt-out and suppression records, and communication preferences needed to send the communications you authorized, respond to your requests, administer the communication program, and honor opt-outs.

This communications consent does not make any unnamed entity a sender, does not transfer consent to any unnamed third party, and does not create an enrollment, school, consulting, purchase, or client relationship with any separate entity unless separately stated in the applicable terms.

If you check an email consent box naming License.US — AB License LLC, License.US.School — AB License LLC, and License.US.Course — AMV Port LLC, you agree to receive informational and marketing emails from those named brands and legal entities. You may unsubscribe at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the email or by contacting us.

Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we or the applicable named sender may still send service-related or transactional messages, such as account notices, course access information, transaction confirmations, security alerts, or responses to your inquiries, as permitted by law.

If you check a service SMS/MMS or marketing SMS/MMS consent box, the SMS/MMS message categories, sender names, frequency, message and data rates, STOP/HELP instructions, and opt-out rules are governed by the applicable SMS opt-in disclosure and SMS Terms of Service.

You may opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in the email or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send service-related messages, such as account notices, course access information, transaction confirmations, security alerts, or responses to your inquiries.

We may use your email address, phone number, or optional Instagram or Telegram handle to communicate with you, depending on the contact information you provide and your stated preferences.

If we offer SMS, phone, Telegram, Instagram, or other messaging-based communications, we will use those channels consistent with your preferences and applicable law.

10. Your Choices and Privacy Requests

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information.

You may also be able to review or update some account information through the members area.

We will respond to privacy requests as required by applicable law. We may decline or limit a request where permitted by law, including where information is needed to provide services, complete transactions, maintain course or test records, comply with legal obligations, protect security, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or maintain backup and archival records.

11. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Some U.S. state privacy laws provide residents with specific rights regarding their personal information. Depending on your state, our business size, our data practices, and whether the applicable law applies to us, these rights may include:

  • the right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or process personal information for targeted advertising as those terms may be defined under state privacy laws, because we do not use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking technologies at this time. If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required notices or choices before using the new practice.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of users under 16.

This Privacy Policy is designed to provide general transparency. If we become subject to a law requiring a separate California Privacy Notice or other state-specific privacy notice, we may supplement this Privacy Policy with additional disclosures.

12. Retention of Personal Information

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. We do not intend to retain personal information indefinitely without a legitimate business, legal, compliance, security, or recordkeeping reason.

Retention periods may depend on:

  • whether you have an active account;
  • whether you are enrolled in or have completed a course;
  • whether test results, certificates, or course completion records must be maintained;
  • whether information is needed for customer support, disputes, legal claims, accounting, tax, chargebacks, fraud prevention, or compliance;
  • whether deletion has been requested and is legally available;
  • technical backup, security, and service-provider retention requirements.

Our current retention approach is:

Transaction, order, refund, and payment-status records 7 years after the transaction or refund is completed, or longer if required for tax, accounting, legal, fraud prevention, dispute, chargeback, or business recordkeeping purposes.
Marketing preferences, consent records, unsubscribe records, and opt-out/suppression records For as long as needed to honor the preference, consent, unsubscribe, or opt-out request, plus 5 years after the record is no longer active, unless longer retention is needed for compliance, dispute, or legal purposes.
Technical logs, website activity, error logs, and security records 12 to 24 months, unless longer retention is needed for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, legal, or compliance reasons.
Backup copies Retained according to backup cycles and typically deleted or overwritten within 90 days, subject to service-provider backup cycles, unless restoration, security, legal, or compliance needs require longer retention.
Privacy rights request records and related verification records At least 24 months after the request is completed, or longer if needed for compliance, dispute, legal, or recordkeeping purposes.

When personal information is no longer needed, we may delete it, de-identify it, aggregate it, or retain it only as required or permitted by law.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.

These safeguards may include access controls, account authentication, service provider controls, secure hosting configurations, monitoring, and other appropriate measures.
